We would like to congratulate high school graduating senior, Vanessa Lawton, as our first winner of the Imagery in Motion Scholarship Award.  Vanessa is a student at Paseo High School in the KCSMD School District.  Vanessa will be attending Johnson County Community College in the Fall.  When asked to describe a woman in her life that inspires her, Vanessa responded "The women in my life that have the most affect on me, are the women who didn't let their head down when obstacles arrived. The women who said no when society told them to change so that they could fit in. Women who don't let the ways of the world dictate their next moves. Women who are go-getters, jet-setters, and entrepreneurs. Women who keep giving and never tire from it. Women who live life with no regrets. Women who laugh on rainy days because everyday is a good day. Women who like to be inspired and inspire others. Those women influence me to keep living and never change up. They inspire me to stay motivated when all odds are against me."  Please come out and help us celebrate Vanessa and many other women in the community who are making moves at our Women on the Move Luncheon, that will be held on June 11th, at 1:00 p.m. at the Gregg Klice Community Center, check out FB event page for more info..... http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=184975274884978
